smritiMiles apart, mornings together.

Mumma hears your voice, even when you can’t be there.

Smriti sends short, warm messages to a mother living with dementia. In your voice, and her grandchildren’s. From your life together. Three times a day.

Nothing to learn on her side. One photo, one big button.

Raising your kids. Caring for Mumma. Often from another city, or another country.

You can’t call her three times a day. Smriti can, in your voice, and in the voices of her grandchildren. You’ll hear how she’s doing, every day.

  • Grandchildren record too. A short “Good morning, Nani” or her favourite song, with a parent’s yes.
  • She replies with one tap. You hear her voice, and how she sounded, wherever you are.
  • You know when she needs you. A worrying word, or a message not opened, reaches your phone at once.
  • Used by 400+ families in our pilot
  • Endorsed by Rainbow Hospitals
  • Patent filed
  • Preprint on medRxiv

Someone may forget breakfast, and still sing every word of an old song.

A familiar voice reaches the same deep place. Smriti makes sure she hears one, every day.

How it works

  1. 1Record your voice

Two minutes on your phone. Grandchildren can record too.

  2. 2Tell Smriti about Mumma

Her songs, her people, what calms her.

  3. 3She hears you, three times a day

Morning, afternoon, evening. You approve each one.

See it in action

Real screens from the app, from setting up to the moment Mumma listens.

Tell Smriti about Mumma: her life, her people, what calms her.
Record your voice once. Grandchildren can record too.
Read each message, change any word, then approve.
Mumma sees your photo and taps one big button to listen.
12 seconds, read by a sample voice. Yours will sound like you.

Our story

Something no textbook taught.

I spent two internships in neurology wards, sitting with people living with dementia.

The medicine mattered. But the moments that brought someone back were small: a daughter’s voice, a song from 1965, a name said the old way.

Families wanted to give that every day. Most could not be there every day.

So I built Smriti: your voice, there for her, even when you can’t be.

What families say

  • “Setting it up felt simple. I liked being able to add the little things that matter to Mum, from her favourite songs to family stories.”
    Ritu, Delhi · Daughter
  • “The messages sound like our family: warm, familiar and full of the everyday things we talk about.”
    Meera, Mumbai · Daughter-in-law

Her privacy comes first

  • Voices are cloned only with that person’s consent

Each person records a spoken yes before Smriti copies their voice, and can take it back any time.

  • Only your family sees her messages

Her profile, photos and messages are private to you and the family you add. We never sell data.

  • Delete everything anytime

One button in Settings erases her messages, recordings, photos and every voice copy.

Questions families ask

Does she need a smartphone?

Yes, any Android phone or iPhone with internet. You set it up once on her phone, where Smriti becomes a “Talk to family” app with your photo. After that she just taps one big button to listen. There is nothing to sign in to and nothing to learn.

How is my voice used?

You record a short spoken consent first, and only then does Smriti make a copy of your voice. It is used for one thing: reading the messages you approve to her. You can remove your voice at any time, and it is deleted from our voice provider too.

What if she doesn’t reply?

Replying is never required. If a message isn’t opened within 30 minutes, or there is no reply by a time you choose, you get an alert on your phone so you can call her.

Which languages?

English, Hindi, Marathi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu and Punjabi. You can also add real family recordings in any language or dialect.

Is our data safe?

Only you and the family you add can see her profile, photos and messages. Photos and recordings are private and open only through short-lived links. We never sell data or use it for advertising.

Can grandchildren record?

Yes. Grandchildren can record short messages and songs for her. For a child under 18, a parent says yes first.

How do I cancel?

There is no contract. You can stop whenever you like: delete her profile in Settings and every message, recording, photo and voice copy is erased.
